Ledgestone Disc Golf is happy to announce the release of the 2025 Ledgestone course and event schedules for the 15th edition of the Ledgestone event. In addition, Ledgestone is announcing several planned improvements for the 2025 event. This is the 3rd announcement in our series of the Twelve Days of Ledgestone promotion.
With the day 3 announcement, Ledgestone is releasing its final, last chance Mystery Box of the year. This Mystery Box will release at 6PM central time tonight and will feature discs with brand new test foils that Ledgestone is exclusively releasing for this Mystery Box. The product will be available this evening at the Ledgestone retail website.
One new course will be added to the course schedule for 2025, while all existing courses will return except for Youth Acres, which was a last second addition in 2024. Brady Park in East Peoria, IL is a new 18 hole course that makes its debut at this year’s Ledgestone event. Brady Park was planned for the 2024 event was not quite ready at the time of the event. The Ledgestone team is pleased to announce that the course is ready to go for 2025.
Survey feedback from 2024 showed that players wanted to see variety in the course schedule from year to year. With that in mind, we have tweaked almost every division’s course schedule so they will not be playing an identical course schedule compared to 2024. With nearly 75% of our players coming back to play Ledgestone year after year, the team wanted to provide a variety of courses for players to experience.
Northwood Black will make its return for MPO and FPO in 2025 after taking a year off due to the Champions Cup being hosted at Northwood in 2024. This will allow MA1 to play the famous Lake Eureka Temp course during the competition. This year’s MA1 schedule will include Northwood Blue, Eureka Temp and Wildlife. MA2 will tackle Kennel Lake, Brady Park and Three Sisters. MA3 will get one change in their course schedule and will play Maxwell, McNaughton and Westwood.
With MA1 playing Eureka instead of Northwood Black, that opened up one slot in the schedule for Northwood Black to be used by other divisions. MJ18 and MP40 will get to play the short layout at the Black course on Sunday. Player feedback from MP40 was pretty clear that the Masters players wanted a harder course schedule for 2025, and so MP40 will play Eureka Permanent, Sunset Hills and Northwood Black. The full course schedule for all divisions is viewable now.
Creating a course schedule is no easy task. Many hours are devoted to the process of deciding who plays what course, how many players go into each pool, what days the pools play the courses, etc. This year’s tournament will also host a disc golf record 2500+ players, which makes the process even more daunting. “The course scheduling process is actually quite complicated. Not only do we need to think about how many players should be in a specific pool of players, we then need to figure out who those players should be grouped with on a specific course on a specific day to make sure the course flow is good,” said Heinold. “And then to top it off, we have to figure out what divisions should be in which teeing order each day,” finished Heinold.
Ledgestone Disc Golf is also happy to announce the release of the 2025 Ledgestone event schedule and a final list of the improvements planned for the 2025 event. The 2025 event schedule includes a lot of returning events and some new and exciting events. “Planning an events schedule for a tournament the size of Ledgestone is just downright challenging. Factors that need to be considered include venue size, how many people we think will show up to an event, potential weather concerns and several additional items,” said Nate Heinold, Ledgestone TD.
One of the more popular events have been the Flex C Tiers run during the event week, and this year the event will be hosting a Ledgestone record 16 Flex events leading up to the event, including two Flex events at the famous Lake Eureka course. Players have found these Flex events to be a fun way to compete in a sanctioned event while also warming up for the big show.
Returning events in 2025 will include player signings, disc releases, player clinics, the Ledgestone Dye Academy, our $10,000 hole in one contest, our ice cream socials, our Ledgestone game night at Lake Eureka, band performances, player meet n greets, putting competitions, long drive contests, glo disc golf, our event flymarts, virtual poker night, our pizza party and more! The full event schedule can be found here.
For the 15th event, Ledgestone is going all out to introduce new events and expanding a new event that debuted in 2024. Here is what players can expect in 2025 that is new:
- Second day of our Peoria Disc Downtown event, where the team setup an urban Ace Race like course in downtown Peoria that was played by over 300 people in one day; the event will be two days in 2025
- Mini Golf Party and Free Ice Cream night at Roc Mini Golf in East Peoria
- The addition of a Disc Downtown event in Morton on Friday afternoon/night, as long with a glo event during the Disc Downtown event
- Our Friday night Flymart will still take place in Morton, but will take place in downtown Morton near our Disc Downtown event
- On Saturday, our Flymart will still take place in Morton, but we will also host the Ledgestone Experience @ Rock the Field in Washington to commemorate Washington’s Bicentennial celebration in 2025. The Rock the Field Experience will have a disc golf mini course, disc golf games, vending, pro clinics, a band performance, food and more!
And finally, based on extensive player feedback we are implementing several improvements for the 2025 event. A list of those changes is summarized here:
- Lake Eureka Permanent will see additional course enhancements, including widening of the fairways for the long, open holes (15 and 16)
- The AM check-in process will see extensive enhancements, with two check-in lines, which will return check-in times to 2023 levels with the anticipation of players being able to finish their check-in process in 20 to 30 minutes
- Additional investments are being made in our event trophies
- Additional next hole signs will be deployed at all A Tier courses
- Investments are being made to ensure the 10M circles are present for the entirety of the event
The 15th Annual Discraft Ledgestone Open will take place August 14th to August 17th in Central Illinois. Registration will take place exclusively at Disc Golf Scene and will open 1/1/25. Registration for AM players and age protected professionals will take place here.

Really sad to see Youth Acres go. That course was PHENOMENAL!
Nate and team, can I suggest adding a few of the MA70 spots to MA75. I know from being around them the last 5 years that there are a number of them that are 75 or older now and it would make their world to have that division added. I believe it would be a simple add. Other than that you guys ROCK! Looking forward to bringing another large group from Northern Indiana as we have the last 7 years.
