Ledgestone Disc Golf is happy to announce that the Gerrit J Verburg Company is back on board as the presenting sponsor for the Discraft Great Lakes Open for the second straight year. This is the 4th announcement in our series of announcements titled the Twelve Days of Ledgestone.
With the Day 4 announcement, Ledgestone is doing a special offer where any disc purchase will receive a free can topper mini. This exclusive offer will only run today, December 12th, exclusively at the Ledgestone retail website.
Gerrit J Verburg Co debuted as the presenting sponsor for the 2024 DGLO event, and Ledgestone is happy to once again be working with Gerrit J Verburg Co in 2025. Gerrit J Verburg entered the disc golf market at the highest level in 2023, sponsoring the Ledgestone and DGLO events. Gerrit J Verburg Co has been in business since 1979 and is headquartered in Fenton, MI, importing licorice, candy, chocolate, and confectionery products.

Gerrit J Verburg Co will also have a sponsor presence at the 2025 Florida DGPT event, the 2025 Ledgestone Open, and the 2025 DGPT Tour Championship. Ledgestone will debut several new advertisement pieces for Gerrit J Verburg at their 2025 events. Gerrit J Verburg will showcase their signature products, including Fort Knox Chocolates, Gustaf’s Licorice, Gerrit’s Satellite Wafers, and nostalgic vintage chewing gums like Blackjack, Clove, and Beemans.

The 43rd Annual Discraft Great Lakes Open will take place September 4th to 7th in and around Wixom, Michigan. Registration will open in the spring of 2025 exclusively at Disc Golf Scene. Spectator passes will be available for purchase exclusively at Eventbrite through DGPT. Demand is expected to be very high for players. Registration for AM players and age-protected professionals will take place here.
