The Ledgestone group first ran the Ledgestone Insurance Open in 2011 as an unsanctioned event at Northwood Park. The Ledgestone event has grown to be the largest disc golf event in the world with over 2000 players. It is also now one of the world’s most lucrative disc golf events.
But the Ledgestone team is more than this event. While the Ledgestone event that takes place each August is the flagship event of the brand, the Ledgestone team now supports events across the US. The Ledgestone team has run or will be running the following majors:
- 2019 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships
- 2022 PDGA Masters Disc Golf World Championships
- 2022 PDGA Junior Disc Golf World Championships
- 2023 PDGA Champions Cup
- 2023 PDGA Junior Disc Golf World Championships
- 2023 PDGA Amateur Disc Golf World Championships

In addition the Ledgestone team is now responsible for running the Discraft Great Lakes Open and has run that event since 2021. The Discraft Great Lakes Open celebrated 40 years in existence in 2022 and the Ledgestone team is proud to run the crown jewel event in the Great Disc State of Michigan.
Ledgestone also runs 8 to 12 local events each year in the Central Illinois area, and also vends and helps support the IOS (Illinois Open Series) events. In the past Ledgestone has also helped support and vend at the Michigan State Championships, and has been the official sponsor and vendor the last 2 years of the PDGA A Tier Big RIP Classic in Mississippi.
