Events

We first hosted the Ledgestone Insurance Open in 2011 as an unsanctioned event at Northwood Park. Since then, it has grown into the largest and one of the most lucrative disc golf events in the world, with over 2,000 players.

While the August event remains our flagship, Ledgestone has expanded nationwide, running and supporting major tournaments that help shape the sport’s future.

Beyond tournament organization, we are committed to growing the disc golf community through charitable initiatives, course development, and professional partnerships. Our events continue to set records in participation, payouts, and media coverage, and we proudly host some of the sport’s most prestigious events, including:

In addition, the Ledgestone team is now responsible for running the Discraft Great Lakes Open and has run that event since 2021. The Discraft Great Lakes Open celebrated 40 years in existence in 2022 and the Ledgestone team is proud to run the crown jewel event in the Great Disc State of Michigan.

Ledgestone also runs 8 to 12 local events each year in the Central Illinois area, and also vends and helps support the IOS (Illinois Open Series) events. In the past Ledgestone has also helped support and vend at the Michigan State Championships, and has been the official sponsor and vendor the last 3 years of the PDGA A Tier Big RIP Classic in Mississippi.
