Ledgestone CEO Nate Heinold, in conjunction with Supreme Flight, is happy to announce that the kickoff event of the DGPT for the 2025 season will be called the Supreme Flight Open. Discraft and Florida’s Adventure Coast will help present the event that will take place February 28th through March 2nd at the Olympus Disc Golf Course in Brooksville, Florida. This announcement is the 10th in our series of announcements titled the Twelve Days of Ledgestone.
This year’s DGPT event will once again take place at the Olympus Disc Golf Course, co-owned by 6X PDGA World Champion Paul McBeth and Major League Pitcher Dylan Cease. The Ledgestone events team, led by CEO Nate Heinold, will run the 2025 edition of the event and have several enhancements planned for the event. “In 2025 we will continue to partner with Chess.com as they will continue to sponsor the event through the Chess.com Fan Zone and host a Players Dinner. We will also be hosting a Chess tournament during the event. What we are most excited about is the addition of an Amateur A Tier that will take place on two courses: a temporary course just 5 minutes down the road from Olympus and the Quarry Disc Golf course,” said Heinold. The temporary course will have temporary turf teepads and Discraft Chainstar Pro baskets, while the Quarry is a permanent course that will get a teepad upgrade for the event.
The Ledgestone team is working very closely with Florida’s Adventure Coast tourism group to elevate the event and the area to make Florida’s Adventure Coast a disc golf destination. “Florida’s Adventure Coast Visitors Bureau is thrilled to sponsor Discraft’s Supreme Flight Open in 2025. We are excited for the future of Disc Golf at Olympus Disc Golf Course and look forward to welcoming Paul McBeth and all the other players and spectators to visit our destination for disc golf and all of our outdoor adventures,” said Tammy Heon, Manager of Tourism Development for Florida’s Adventure Coast Visitors Bureau. Players and spectators can visit Florida’s Adventure Coast website for information on lodging and other local activities and information.
The events team is also excited to once again be working with Discraft, with several limited edition discs planned for the event. “Having Discraft on board with this event is a natural partnership and Dylan and I are excited to continue to work with Mike and Bob and the team at Discraft,” said McBeth.
The event name being changed is a natural evolution as Paul and Dylan, in addition to owning the course, have also brought back the Supreme Flight brand with some big plans to enhance things going forward. “Dylan and I are pumped to be the title sponsor for the kickoff event on the DGPT through Supreme Flight and are excited to showcase Olympus to the disc golf world. The team on the ground in Brooksville has been working hard to make improvements to the course for the 2025 event and we can’t wait for everyone to see the property,” said McBeth. Supreme Flight currently houses their products on the Ledgestone website.
This will be the second edition of this event at the Olympus Disc Golf Course. Registration will take place exclusively at Disc Golf Scene for the Amateur event and will open 1/1/25. Registration for AM players will take place here. Spectator tickets for the DGPT event can be purchased here.
