The most intentional disc golf bag ever produced.
The Ledgestone Open’s highlight player pack item is a can’t miss in 2023. The brand-new A-TS (Tournament Series) bag is being released in conjunction with GRIPeq.
The entire design was created in-house by the Ledgestone team, making this a home-grown product filled with love, knowledge, and a personal connection to the themes it represents.
On the lowest front panel, just below the disc compartment, the signature first basket at Lake Eureka is framed by the iconic water tower. The waters of the lake ripple gently beyond the basket while rolling fields of corn and beans set the background scene in a nod to Central Illinois’ agriculture-based economy. Even deeper in the background, the storm clouds build and march toward the disc golf course.
The top panel, just beneath the quick-pull putter pocket, features the upper half of the Lake Eureka scene. The tall, menacing storm clouds begin to split to reveal the afternoon sun breaking through. The sun rays spread their light over the top and continue across the rest of the bag.
The two side pockets continue the extension of the sun rays. Red, white, and blue angled rays of varying thickness all extend from the main disc compartment in a display of majesty and joy, completing the all-encompassing representation of a disc golfer’s connection with the outdoors.
The bag’s colorway is deeper than just classic red, white, and blue.
There are actually two shades of blue in the design: navy and light blue. The bag’s main front color is the new, revamped navy blue of the Ledgestone brand. The light blue is inspired by the Disc Golf Pro Tour in a celebration of the Ledgestone Open’s designation as an Elite+ event. Red is the dominant color on the back of the bag and represents Ledgestone’s long-standing partnership with Discraft.
The A-TS features a new bag-building concept for consumers. Previous GRIPeq bag designs came with the structural inserts pre-built into the bag. These new Ledgestone-Edition backpacks come with the rigid side pocket inserts tucked into the main disc cavity. Consumers are able to slip the inserts in themselves through small velcro slots on the base when they receive their new bag. This only increases the long-lasting quality and durability GRIPeq products have become famous for.
Ultimately, the A-TS model is a reimagined version of the original GRIPeq A-series. It maintains the classic streamlined profile with a perfect balance of functional features, a 22-disc carrying capacity, and an all-new, full-width morale velcro patch.
The velcro umbrella sleeve and expandable side pocket zippers on the current AX5 model have been swapped out for pencil slots on the sides of the 32oz bottle holders on the A-TS. GRIPeq has also added adjustable synch straps to secure an umbrella, disc retriever, or tripod stool.
