PDGA Board of Director elections will take place in the month of July through an email ballot to all active PDGA members. Current PDGA BOD member Nate Heinold is announcing several endorsements today in his bid for re-election. Information on Nate’s candidacy can be found here.
Nate is happy to announce endorsements from Infinite Discs, Kids Disc Golf, Jeff Spring (current DGPT executive director) and three prior PDGA BOD members: Steve Dodge, Trevor Harbolt and Kevin McCoy. Alan Barker, President of Infinite Discs, had this to say about Nate: “Nate is someone who understands disc golf from the perspective of a player, a tournament director, and a sponsor. He is fair to work with, provides win-win opportunities, and stands up for what he believes in. His efforts have been instrumental in elevating disc golf to where it is now. It is people like Nate that we need on the PDGA Board of Directors.”
"We believe Nate is a voice that speaks on behalf of disc golfers everywhere. This includes junior players and their desire to compete at a high level. We believe Nate Heinold is the best representative for those who enjoy competitive disc golf,” stated Matt Grayum, co-founder of Kids Disc Golf.
“Nate Heinold is a unique type of leader in our sport. Someone who has the vision to push the sport forward, the drive to do the work, and the ability to get things done. As the Pro Tour grew from an idea to reality to its rebirth this season, Nate was, and probably still is, one of the first people I would call for advice and assistance. He has my full throated endorsement for the PDGA BOD. Our sport needs his voice and talents,” said Steve Dodge, founder of the DGPT.
Nate is a current member of the PDGA Board of Directors, a past Treasurer of the PDGA Board of Directors, and the current secretary of the organization. He is the liaison to the Pro Tour Players Committee, the past liaison to the PDGA Competition Committee, and the current Chair of the PDGA Majors and NT Committee. Nate is the TD for the annual Ledgestone Insurance Open, hosted the 2019 PDGA Pro Disc Golf World Championships, and is the upcoming TD for the 2022 Combined Masters & Juniors PDGA Disc Golf World Championships.
