The Discraft Chainstar Lite is an affordable portable basket that was specifically created to meet official PDGA basket specifications. The 24 chain configuration consists of 12 inner and 12 outer heavy zinc coated chains, each set secured by separate steel rings above the basket, while the upper, inner S-hooks are strongly confined between two upper steel rings for added strength and reduced inner blowback. The 7mm cage is strong enough to hold its shape for many years under normal conditions.

The elegant design requires no tools for quick set up and breakdown. The 4 leg base offers added stability and a protective industrial powder coating ensures you'll enjoy your Chainstar Lite year after year. Compare Chainstar Lite side by side with any competitor and you'll agree this portable is a winner. We have this basket in black, blue, pink and red!

Great practice basket

This is the third type of practice basket I have owned and it is by far the most sturdy basket yet I am really enjoying the feel and I have more puts staying in because of the weight of the chains.

Disappointed

They were in stock when I ordered mine. Two weeks later, I get an email saying sorry the baskets are out of stock and we can’t fulfill your order. Sad.

Buy this basket!

Best portable basket in the game. Check the weights- this one is the heaviest in its class! Easy to break down … or leave up! Very little signs of wear on mine that I leave out! Love this basket.

Best portable basket

I've held ~10 pop up tournaments using all different portable baskets, and this was the easiest to set up, transport, and caught the best.

Great budget basket

I picked up a few of these baskets while running a local tourney. They are light-weight but heavy enough to feel comfortable leaving them out on windy days. It has two rows of chains and catches pretty well. One issue I've noticed is that a couple chain-links bind up after being hit with a hard putt. It requires little effort to fix the issue, but it's something that folks should be aware of. I've had one of my baskets outside for 2 years in snow and 100+ temps, and there are no signs of rust or fading. This basket is great for putting practice or unsanctioned tournaments, and the price is excellent.
