Ledgestone CEO Nate Heinold is happy to announce that TechDisc has been named as an official partner of the Ledgestone family of events and will be working closely with Ledgestone in 2025. In addition to being a partner and sponsor of Ledgestone’s family of DGPT events in 2025, TechDisc will have an on site presence at each event along with product for sale at each event. In addition, TechDisc will host a virtual tournament during each of Ledgestone’s four 2025 DGPT Events: the Florida event, Ledgestone, DGLO and the DGPT Tour Championship. This announcement is the 1st in our series of announcements titled the Twelve Days of Ledgestone.
Nate has enjoyed a close working relationship with Michael Sizemore, CEO of TechDisc, going back to Michael’s days at Bushnell. TechDisc had an on site presence and was a partner at this year’s PDGA Pro Worlds in Lynchburg that was ran by the Ledgestone team and the idea to do something larger came to the forefront.
At each of the Ledgestone family of events in 2025, there will be a TechDisc booth on site where players and spectators can partake in a virtual hole. Ledgestone will run this booth and will have TechDisc units on hand to sell. Also, right now during the 12 Days of Ledgestone, TechDisc is hosting its first ever virtual tournament, open to all TechDisc user’s at their website. Players will have the chance to score on iconic holes from Ledgestone events using the simulated flights from their TechDisc throws. Leaders from each day will be featured on the Top 10 Leaderboards with prizes each day going to the top finishers from Ledgestone. “This is the first time simulated stroke play has been possible for disc golf thanks to the TechDisc launch monitor and simulator software. TechDisc is thrilled to release this to the world in partnership with the Ledgestone team. Nate and his team set the bar higher every year, running the best disc golf events for players and fans. We're excited to work with the Ledgestone team in 2025 to keep pushing further ahead with new technology and engaging fan experiences." said Michael Sizemore.
“We are pulling out all of the stops for our 15th Ledgestone Open event. We wanted to offer spectators and players new and unique concepts and activations to partake in while at our event. With this relationship, while it was important to add this experience for our 15th Ledgestone event, we thought it was too good not to offer at all of our events in 2025,” finished Heinold. Stay tuned to TechDisc’s website for more information about how to participate in all of their virtual experiences.
With the day 1 announcement, Ledgestone is also doing a sale of 25% off any Team Ledgestone merchandise (discs or apparel) found at the Ledgestone store. This sale will only run today, December 9th exclusively at the Ledgestone retail website.
The 15th Annual Discraft Ledgestone Open will take place August 14th to August 17th in Central Illinois. Registration will take place exclusively at Disc Golf Scene and will open 1/1/25. Registration for AM players and age protected professionals will take place here.
