Who is winning the 2024 Ledgestone Open in FPO after Round 3?
1st - Holyn Handley at 21 under par
2nd - Hailey King at 17 under par
3rd - Ohn Scoggins at 16 under par
Quote from the leader: “I felt like the front nine was really good, but I felt like the putter cooled off on the back,” Handley said. “I’m being really picky about the putts that I missed, especially with how well I putted the first two days. It’s really about keeping the aim point high and keeping my eyes glued on that.”
Game-changing moment: Ella Hansen smashed chains from 345 feet on Hole 4 for the first FPO ace of the tournament. Two holes later, she parked her approach on Hole 6 and tapped in for eagle. This was part of a 7 under par start on the first eight holes, skyrocketing her to within one stroke of Handley in first place at the time.
Summary of Round 3: Hansen came out firing with the aforementioned ace and eagle, but within minutes of her birdie on Hole 8, Handley had already come inches away from an albatross on Hole 6 and was tapping in an eagle to pad her lead yet again. From there, much like Round 2, it was the Handley show. A slightly bumpy finish left the door barely cracked open for a hot shooter on the final day, but Handley is in the driver’s seat heading into Championship Sunday. Two of the challengers to Handley could be King and Scoggins who sit four and five strokes back, respectively, following King’s 8 under par hot round and Scoggins’ 7 under.
