Discraft's newest driver is the Cicada. The Cicada has a flight trajectory that's undeniably straight and is a force to be reckoned with. The Cicada embodies the spirit of adaptability, offering players the versatility needed for strategic shot shaping throughout any course. Offering more control than a high speed distance driver, the Cicada is perfect for those 300 to 350' tight wooded throws. The wing shape of the disc is similar to the Athena with a more understable flight. The Cicada is a hyzer flip machine with favorable glide.

a bit more beefy than expected

I bought a pair of first run cicadas last year. They fly like laser beams. When I saw these lighter ones (155-159) grams, I thought it would be nice to have a lighter version. They may break in to be straighter but for now they fly with much more fade than the 1st runs.

The speed is perfect for my arm! Down closer to sea level, I love how it stands up and gives me a little turn but always finishes with a consistent fade back. At elevation (7,000’+ where I live), this disc is a straight flyer with the same reliable finish I mentioned above. Quickly becoming one of my go to discs.
