Tied 3rd - Hailey King at 9 under par

Tied 3rd - Stacie Rawnsley at 9 under par

Tied 3rd - Rebecca Cox at 9 under par

Tied 3rd - Ohn Scoggins at 9 under par

Tied 3rd - Missy Gannon at 9 under par

Quote from the leader: “I’m feeling good,” Handley said. “I’ve been trying to stay away from sidearms this week because of a little bit of elbow trouble. Yesterday I threw some sidearms early and they didn’t come out with the pop that I wanted, so today I tried to position myself for more backhands. I still felt like I left some strokes out there, but we’re only halfway through the tournament.”

Game-changing moment: The big moment came on Hole 13. At the time, Handley held a narrow one-stroke lead over Fajkus and Scoggins. Both Fajkus and Scoggins laid up short of the island to play for par, but Handley was last to throw and saw an opportunity. She piped a fairway driver up the middle on a slight hyzer-flip, shaping a perfect shot into the bullseye for a tap-in birdie. Using that momentum, she delivered another birdie on the low-ceiling Hole 14 while Fajkus and Scoggins recorded a par and a bogey, respectively.

Summary of Round 2: Midtlyng’s wicked-hot start from the seventh card let the entire FPO field know there was going to be some movement on the leaderboard during Round 2. The Team Ledgestone youngster rattled off four birdies and an eagle on the first seven holes to leap all the way into third and a lead card appearance heading into Round 3. Hailey King repeated the same feat from the sixth card. Meanwhile on the lead card, Gannon struggled to get anything going while Scoggins, Fajkus and Handley began to pull away. After a bogey on Hole 11, Handley began applying pressure and Fajkus and Scoggins fell off the pace. Scoggins joins the six-player logjam in third place heading into Moving Day while Fajkus holds second place by herself.
