1st – Paige Pierce (64)
2nd – Hailey King (67)
3rd – Maria Olivia (69)
Game-changing moment: It looked like the momentum might be in King’s corner after she hit a birdie 3 on Hole 13 and Pierce carded a circle 6 after a tough-luck OB kick. But Pierce followed up with a birdie on the 731-foot Par 5 Hole 14 - one of three birdies in her final five holes - and finished out strong.
Standout Stat: 12 of the 18 holes at Northwood Black averaged over par on the day. Four holes averaged a full stroke over par: Hole 1 (+1.08), Hole 2 (+1.13), Hole 15 (+1.1) and Hole 18 (+1.13).
Highlight of the Day: Pierce connected on a 280-foot sidearm throw-in to earn an eagle on Hole 6 (Par 5, 701’), a toss she called “probably one of the best shots I’ve ever thrown in my life.”
“It was one of those shots where I was just trying to hit the gap on the right angle and it absolutely went perfectly and hyzered out even,” Pierce said.
